Wise Words - Betrayers

"Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the lord, not men." Eph 6:7

There is a part of God in all of us, but for some that beacon that should shine, is flickering. Just like there are people placed in your life to help and assist you in you maturing as child of God. There are people here to stiffen your walk and cause you to fall. The adversary knows how to use these people to infiltrate your inner circle. These people befriend love ones, earn your trust, break bread with you and falsely claim that they care for you. Be careful of these people, because their heart isn't set on helping or serving others. Their heart is set on helping and serving his/herself. Their way of living isn't to glorify God, but work to glorify his/herself in the world. In spite of the malicious acts of the manipulator, we have to be like Christ.

Christ had an inner circle of men, that went with Him everywhere. They had intimate conversations, broke bread with Him, sleep next to Him, they saw miracles and because they learned from Him were able to perform some of the same miracles. But out of the group, there was one. One that caused the physical death, one that was in trusted by all, Judas, the one who betrayed Jesus.

Judas the money keeper was a thief, he constantly took his share of the money that was attended for the poor. Putting his love of money before his love of Christ, Judas betrayed Christ, selling Him out for a bag of money. The most amazing aspect of Christ's betrayal is that Christ knew the heart of Judas, but never condemned him, nor sought revenge. Christ decided to minister instead of inflict harm, Christ decided to show respect instead of disrespect. Christ decided to show God's Love, instead of the world's hate. Christ could have easily commanded legions of Angels to remove Judas, but He didn't.

We have the choice to show Love or show hatred. There will always be people here to stiffen your walk, but you have to keep walking.

God is Love and He Loves you and so do i
