"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. As we have an opportunity, let us so good to all people" Gal 6:9 &10
As snow, sleet and ice sweep the nation, my thoughts and worries go out to those who don't have shelter. As wind chills fall below 0 degrees, i can't help but to wonder about the homeless, or those who don't have heat. Always referring to the tormenting temperatures of hell as purgatory, but what about the wrenching temperatures of the cold. During these times no amount of blankets can stop these chills. But warmth can come from a helping hand.
"He reached down form on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of the deep waters." (Psalms 18:16) As these cold temperatures solidify once vibrations bodies and minds, we have to become generous, hospitable and gracious. Has God lent a help hand to relieve us of our troublesome times, in return we need to lend a hand towards others. Not just because the may be in a drowning situation, or because their hearts have turned cold as ice, we have to reach down because if someone didn't do it for us we wouldn't be who we are, or were we are today. But more importantly, we are to practice hospitality and share with God's people. As bad as these chilly forecast may be, this is a great opportunity to help another, and show God's grace, peace and love and abides in you.
God is Love and He Loves you and so do i
