Wise Words - Healing as a Process

" They came to Bethesda, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man's eyes and put his hands on the him, Jesus asked, "Do you see anything?"

He looked up and said, "I see people; they look like trees walking around." Once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly." Mark 8: 22-25

The Almighty can be characterized by many names. Today lets focus on Teacher (Rabbi) and Healer (Rophe). In Mark 8, Jesus is performing a miracle on healing a blind man, but instead of Jesus simply touching and healing the man, Jesus gradually restored his sight. A question comes to mind, couldn't Jesus just heal him in one touch? Didn't He have the power? The answer doesn't lie in the lack of divine power, but maybe in the lack of human readiness. Maybe Jesus healed the man in stages to reveal a deeper point… The point being of the mental, physical and spiritual readiness of being healed.

Many of us persistently pray for deliverance and for our thorns to be removed from our sides, but God knows within our hearts that if we were instantly healed that and able to walk strength we would more than likely start running in the opposite direction. The point i'm trying to make is that the process of healing is to inflict agony, but entice gratification. i've learned that when i work for a gift, i honor that gift, compared to just receiving it. Continue to persistently pray for your healing, and during your process grow. Grow in your Word, your love and peace of God, so when your healing comes you'll have a greater appreciation for His Divine Healing Power.

Healing and Restoration is a Process. " Knowing we can only bear so much light, Jesus never forces us to see the whole truth but only enables us to see it as we are willing and able." (Ann Spangler) Friends today ask the Lord to heal your spiritual blindness, Pray for the faith to see and the grace to learn.
