Wise Words - In Our Givings

Why do we help people?  The word says, "Be a cheerful giver" and "Do on to others as you want done to you".  But what is the point of helping someone...it can't be because we want something in return.  It has to be from our heart, which is filled by grace.    Sometimes God blesses us to be a blessing for others, but i've come to realize that God blesses us to see if we will bless others.  Not just to present a superficial or righteous outward image, nor to uplift our minuscule ego.  A true blessing is nothing that is justified by the public, nor broadcast to your peers.  A real blessing is a full blessing, for in our giving we are not exalted, but God's Love is established and edified.    If you are going to give, give, if your going to serve, serve.  If you see someone in need of help, help them fully, not half way. Not just say "Yes, I gave", but give to loosen to shackles...Restrict the bonds of the adversary, through the kindness and blessings of your works, then let God be Glorified through His works in you.   "If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provide, so that in all things God may be praised though Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 4:11   God is Love and He Loves you and so do i virg   Copyright2010 Wise Words/Tharp
