"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. " Proverbs 19:21
Not long but direct, this is a humbling verse. Having a two week break from work, i had plans to do a number of things, but as i created my plans of relaxation, i find myself very tired. Two weeks ago my two year old son became sick, with hives, swelling, fevers and the inability to walk. The doctors were unable to pinpoint the cause, so we had to wait, endure, and hope for him to become better. Then almost simultaneously, my father's brother was struck with seizures and a stroke, leaving him unable to breath on his own, walk or speak. It's safe to say that my plans of leisure were derailed. Scared, frustrated, tired and faithfully waiting, i realize that these derailing circumstances aren't to make me mad, or hateful, but are purpose driven situations allotted by God's Will.
When strife creeps in, days seem long and short at the same time. As pain and weary tries to overcome us, we have to know, hope and trust that our God's Will isn't for us to struggle or to live in despair. As gruesome as life may be, no step is made without the instruction of God, for those who place their trust in Him, God's Will Prevails, and regardless the situation His Purpose for you and me will Glorify His Name and the Kingdom. In or health and in our sickness, God's Purpose Prevails.
Friends, don't get wrapped up in the disparities of life's tribulations, but give praises in your sorrows, and worship while in your low places, for God's Purpose Prevails, not to make you stumble but to exalt you in your works.
God is Love and He Loves you and so do i
