This weekend was a rough one. Body aches, sore throat, sweats and chills, restless sleep, etc. Not accustomed to being sick, i had a hard time laying still. But even in my sickness, i found myself blessed. Even in my sickness, my wife took the load of caring for two young children and a Big Baby! i found myself blessed, because in my sickness i still have individuals wanting to be next to me...
Never thinking about it before, usually when a person becomes ill, people run, flee and hide. Covering there mouths as if a black plague was on its way. People don't like being around the sick, as if death covers them, but this weekend i found that love, patience, and covering is the best medicine, and cure for any illness. For in my sickly body, i found love.
Looking in the world, i see a lot of sickly bodies covering the streets. Their illness aren't from high temperatures or virus, but from corrupted minds and cold hearts. Walking as the living dead, people flee from their presents. They're mean, stubborn, condescending, and hypocritical. These individuals may not have a stuffed up nose, but the very sight of the people causes us to run and hide. In them peace, you cannot find, love you'll never see, and understanding is not made in them. But even in there sickness, your love can cure their sickly bodies, your covering can endure their heart aches, God's Grace in you can allow them peace.
Together we can heal each other. This weekend felt terrible, but the love of my sons and wife compels me. God sends His Love in many ways, allow God to work in you to be a healing for another.
God is Love and He Loves you and so do i
