Contrary to what a lot of us want to believe, the sun doesn't revolve around us. As we watch the sunset, and it's light dim, it looks as if the sun is moving, but it is the world that is actually orbiting the shine that illuminates our world. Too many days we've spent thinking the Sun rises and sets around our insignificant vivacity, but it is the other way around. We are centered around the Sun, we are being sustained and are able to live by the light it produces. Do not think so much of yourself that you miss the glimmer of God's natural light.
Much like we are blessed with Light from the sun, we are even more blessed with God's Eternal Light, who's luster never sets. Jesus, the Light of the World, shines through all. "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life." John 8:12
Just as the sun provides for this world, Jesus is the light that provides for me and you. As we set course around our Light Source, remember that it is us that revolves and is sustained through His Light, which never sets as a sun.
"The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end." Isaiah 60:19-20
