Flogged, beating, spit on, cursed at, crucified and stabbed. In His last days, He willing gave Himself to endure pain and ridicule. Wearing a crown of thorns, He weep tears of blood, as His flesh cried out to His Father, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" Knowing the pain to come, but not knowing the pain that would come. He still remained on the cross, He still endured the pain, for me and you. He could have easily called Angels down to His rescue, or caused a plague amongst His oppressors, but He endured and yielded His spirit.
Much like Christ we will have to endure being cursed at, back stabbed, spit on and ridiculed. Some times we will know when our hard days will come, and some days pain will sneak up on us. It is alright to cry out, it is alright to admit that the pain hurts, but in our cries, in our agony there is always hope. In our cries don't curse or summon anguish against your adversaries, but follow the path of Christ and yield your spirit, yield you tongue, yield your mind body and pain to Your Heavenly Father.
"Dear friends, so not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the suffering of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed." 1 Peter 4: 12-13
