Wise Words - Work with Enthusiasm

People who excel work with enthusiasm.


Nothing great will ever be accomplished without enthusiasm and commitment, and it is not ironic that those individuals who will excel in their goals and ambitions are those who put forth the most effort. There are many naturally gifted individuals that inhabit this Earth, but there are only a few that walk in their natural gift. Being an athlete i used to marvel in the abilities of many, but being a coach i am more moved by the individual that submits their gifts and commits to their goal. Encouraged to improve in their craft these individual seem to have an internal spark of enthusiasm, and regardless is watching, they perform whole-heartedly with passion and drive.

Some weeks ago i was at a clinic where my cousin was one of many a key note speakers. The clinic was packed, and attendees were given a choice to hear from the multiple speakers. As attendees dispersed, by cousin only found one individual stay to hear him speak. Discouraged by the lack of enthusiasm and attendance, my cousin was unmotivated to speak, but he choose to stay. The one turned into five, and the five that stayed to listen, left with a renewed spirit. Enthusiasm is contagious... Great performers give their best effort regardless of the size of the audience.

Regardless of the job, whether it is big or small, give it your all. Use the gifts and talents God has given you and continue to work on them, then fully commit to your cause, never lacking in enthusiasm. “Whatever your task is, put you whole heart and soul into it, as work done for the Lord, and not merely for me.” Colossians 3:23
