Wise Words - Den of Robbers

"On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there.  He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those who were buying and selling doves...And as he taught them, he said, 'It is written: My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations, But you have made it a 'den of robbers'.   Mark 11:15-17

The degradation of God's temple, enrages the fury of Jesus.  One of the few times we read about Jesus being angry, we should take note of the lesson.  God's temple is to be a place of restoration and a place of prayer.  A consecrated building that God is coming back for.  In my studies i realized that God isn't coming back for the physical church building, but for God's temple, which is us.  Our bodies are God's temple, and we have turned our temples into 'dens of robbers'.

Filled with fleshly desires, our temples become corrupted with the luxuries of life.  As our temples become robbed, by super-sized value meals, smoke, pornography, pollution, drugs and the abuse of alcohol, we have perverted our bodies into temples that reign with disease and death.  As Christians lets become like Christ and turn over the money tables and benches of those that degrade our temples.  Take control of yourselves and create in you a place of restoration and prayer.

God is Love and He loves you and so do i
