Have you ever gone to a restaurant and ordered a drink and found something floating in it. Nasty, huh!!! Or even saw a smug mark on the outside of the cup. A lot of restaurants have those clear cups which makes it easier to see through the cup, and allows us to inspect the contents inside before we drink it. But have you ever been given a decorated cup which to the eye seemed beautiful and without blemish, but as you drink something lands on your tongue...i'm not trying to gross anybody out, but it happens.
i'm referring to the parable in Luke about the reference to the pharisees being beautiful bowls on the outside but unclean in the inside. In my example we are the beautiful cups, magnificent to the eye, but God sees us as a clear glass. He is able to see through us. As this new season is upon us, lets clean ourselves, so we will be beautiful inside and out. We can not hide our blemishes from God, but with the help of God, He will clean our blemishes.
